I need a new printer

I went shopping for a printer and got a J6400 I believe. We got that becuase we were looking at the ink cartriges and decided to buy the printer with the cheapest ink replacement. Well...it was kind of smart but I think our printer uses more ink than our last one which i think m,ight have offset the price. Anyway, our printer does copying, faxing and of course, print. not too bad.

The cartages are going to kill you on color laser too.

I've got this old Samsung ML1430, Laser B&W I got for $25 out of a school surplus sale. Had it for like, 4 years now. Still on the same cartage.
You should go with 'Vert's offer to nab a cheapo B&W, then just get a color inkjet and only print color stuff to it, send everything else to the B&W.

Yeah, I know laserjet cartridges are expensive. My reasoning is I'm tired of the inkjets running out of ink even though I've only printed maybe 10 pages. The printer is constantly cleaning the jets, burning through ink I don't have a chance to use.
