ASUS 1005HAB. Its pretty sweet with a 10.1 inch LED screen, 250GB HD, 1GB of RAM and Windows 7 for 350 out the door at Best Buy. This particular model runs everything I need it to do and is easily overclocked with setFSB, I have mine running at almost 2ghz right now with no issues. It can also be setup to run any linux distro or Apples OSX too, I have been impressed with it so far.

While I love netbooks, I hate that they are putting Windows 7 on them. XP is the best for a machine like that, as far as I'm concerned, most stable, least resource dependent. However if I bought a netbook tomorrow, I'd just put a Linux distro on it and call it a day.

I cant hate on Windows 7 Starter too much but they did cripple the OS quite a bit. Runs fast on mine though.

My ideal netbook would have a 64GB SSD, 2GB RAM, 2 GHz mobile processor, XP Lite SP3, and like an 11 cell battery. Should last a full 24 hours.

Yeah no doubt. I've contemplated throwing a gutted/slipstreamed version of XP on here as a dual boot...
