If you have to ask what she wants, then you haven't been paying enough attention throughout the year.

She's probably been (in her mind, anyway) abundantly clear to you about her wants and needs over the past year, and she can't believe you haven't figured it out on your own.

Go back in your mind over the past year, and write down everything she's mentioned to you more than once. The list will be probably be long. Then, look at everything on it, and ask which item or items would make a great gift.
