Underwater Boat Lights
Im thinking about making my own and starting to sell these things on Ebay. The real ones range from 700-2000 a piece, I used to install them on boats I built for Novurania. A guy on one of the boat forums I frequent started building homemade versions with led lamps in acrylic boxes and the response was so good he started a website:

Code:
www.coastalnightlights.com

Im going to try making these for a buddy on a boat we just picked up and see how it works out but Im going to use CREE emitters instead of LED light because I can get them cheaper, would need less of them and they are BRIGHT. When I get my prototype put together I'll post some pictures.

Yah they are pretty cool though when you are off shore and have thousands of baitfish swirling underneath your boat.

"I'm on a motherfucking boat!"

I like those though, if I get a boat, I want some.

RE: Underwater Boat Lights
Got some demo stuff coming to me from a company I wont name. They make polymers and have one that is made from plastic and highly milled aluminum so it actually acts as a heatsink while still able to stand up to salt water and other weather elements. I had them ship me a 3/8's inch sample to try out, it should work great. This stuff starts to melt at 270 degrees Celsius so its overkill for what I am using it with.
